 UFMC FEATURES

WHAT is UNIVERSAL FMC?            Download UFMC User Manual

The Universal FMC works virtually with any airliner: Heavy metals, corporative jets,  Regional jets and turbopropellers. Is not designed for Light aircrafts or aircrafts with short capability.

If you enjoy a lot flying your favourite aircraft, the experience you can live with the UFMC is awesome!!.

All you need is to fill a configuration file for every airliner you want to Use the UFMC, and copy this file into the Aircraft folder. You can Download some examples configuration files to see as easy it is.

All the rest of parameters, data and computations are done by the UFMC without Framerate dropping.

Anyway I am going to provide accurated configuration Files for the most popular Airliners. These files may be interchanged with other users.

  • Autopilot  Features and Innovations

Tuning an autopilot is not a easy work. There are many parameters to change to get the best tuned autopilot. This tuning is different for each aircraft so it wouldn't  be a good idea to include a universal custom autopilot with the FMC, becouse authors have spent a lot of time in the autopilot TuningSo I use the X-plane autopilot, but fully adapated to the FMC operations and taking into account a very important FMC parameters: the COST INDEX and the RESTRICTIONS

So How does the FMC work with the Autopilot?

The LATERAL NAVIGATION is fully a custom autopilot included with the FMC.

The FLARE and ROLLOUT are also custom autopilot included with the FMC.

FLARE is to get smooth landing, changing the pitch to decrease the vertical Speed in the touchdown.

ROLLOUT is to get the right runway heading during the touchdown and runway running. This is a very great help in high crosswinds landings.

The THROTTLE is fully controlled by the FMC if you select so in the config file

The rest of the autopilot functions are from X-plane, smartly managed by the UFMC

-Vertical Speeds are automatically calculated and now are variable with the altitude also, as the real ones.

-Complete SID and STAR and can be updated to newer AIRACS

-Speed is automatically reduced to the Speed transition at the transition altitude (usually 250 knots and 10.000 feet, but you can change it in the UFMC VNAV PAGES)

It have been very very  improved from the first version in April 2007 from now. There are a huge amount of working and testing hours of many people to get a very stable and functional version. There are many new Features  contained in the dozen of real FMC pages.

THE UFMC WORKS WITH EVERY AIRCRAFT AIRLINER (Except for Those with custom AP)
